The Flemish Road Authority installed Norphonic VoIP Emergency Roadside Telephones in four tunnels in Antwerp, Belgium, including the Simon Bolivar Tunnel and the National Bank Tunnels. The solution was selected for its reliability, robust construction and ability to operate in demanding environments.

The telephones connect road users directly to an assistance centre when the handset is lifted. Open VoIP standards allow integration with existing communication infrastructure, while remote management and diagnostic features simplify maintenance. The system has been in continuous operation for over five years without problems, demonstrating the quality and reliability of the solution.
